The Old Farts Sports Car Club has had a few problems among its members of late, from stroke to knee surgery, ill parents, parents with broken hips and one that had been called home. Our troubles and sorrows bind us closer together as our hearts and hands reach out to help others.
.
Recently the Old Farts visited a retirement community in Bryan, Waldenbrooke Estates, to spread some Christmas Cheer. It was an awesome visit with these life experienced folks. Smiling faces and good conversation was shared between the visitors and residents alike. Laughter is a gift at any time of the year and this occasion did not lack in that department. Tears flowed as one woman told us this is the only Christmas she has had in twelve years. What a heartwarming experience it was for the Old Farts to be able to bring a little happiness to this lady as well as all the others. On the outside it may appear that we brought gifts and presents to these kind folks when in reality it was they who gave the gifts to us. Thank you for letting us share in your hospitality and joy. Y’all can find photos over here.

What’s an Old Fart gathering without food involved, well let me just say that’s not gonna happen. When the Texas Old Farts Sports Car Club gets together-- there will be food and you can bet your spare tire that it will be good food. The Cotton Patch won our presence for this outing. Now mind you I personally was not able to attend this one but I can assure you no one has called me to complain about the food or the service. I can only surmise it was grade A if not A+.
.
From all the members of the Texas Old Farts Sports Car Club to you --Happy New Year! May it be filled with good health, lots of laughter and accident free.
.
Until next time
.
See y’all
